Our history
The little story of the workshop…
Landscape architect, painter, seamstress and mother of two daughters, Véronique Beaudoin has an atypical career. Her passion for design, the arrangement of colors and shapes motivated her to create the Funny Bird children's clothing collection in 2017. In 2019, she bought the maternity clothing company BellyBedaine and opened the Atelier Véronique B, a creative space allowing him to combine all his talents.
The entire creative process is carried out in his workshop located in the heart of the old village of Bromont, from the design of the patterns, to the ideation of the different collections. Many of the patterns found on the clothes are designed by Véronique. Like an artist's canvas, several hours of drawing and editing are required to develop the digital canvases that will make up the final motif. Subsequently, the pattern is sent to printers specialized in textile printing.
Its collections are inspired by the ''slow fashion'' movement, an eco-responsible approach, sensitive to the environment and recycling, which challenges overconsumption. Entirely made in Quebec, all collections are produced in small quantities with high quality materials that will last over time.
With the help of several accomplices, Véronique creates and makes clothes that you will find in the web catalog or by visiting her in her recently opened boutique-workshop.
The creations come in three collections:
The Funny Bird collection: graphic, colorful and comfortable clothes for children who move a lot like Véronique's! The clothes stand out with a flared and gender-neutral look, in addition to being made of soft and durable materials.
The BellyBedaine collection: trendy and versatile clothes for mums and mums-to-be. These ultra-comfortable clothes will accompany them throughout their maternity without compromising on elegance.
The Véronique B collection: casual and stylish clothes for active women with a touch of originality.
